User Research Jumpstart
A Jumpstart will prove the value of user research, increase your library’s user research skill set, and deliver an action plan that will help your library create a better user experience.
After a Jumpstart your library will have:
- a user research skill set.
- better knowledge of the lives of your users and their needs.
- increased awareness of user perception of the library.
- a plan for improving the design of your website.
- a plan for improving the functionality of your building.
- a UX vision to guide decisions about library services.
What happens during a Jumpstart?
Before our visit:
- We will conduct a brief UX Shakedown of your library’s website.
- Together we’ll plan for your library’s upcoming usability tests and user interviews.
Jumpstart day one:
- We will give an introduction to User Experience Design.
- We’ll teach your staff how to observe the library and people using it.
- Then we’ll all go the library and do it.
Jumpstart day two:
- We’ll conduct two usability tests while you observe.
- We’ll do four 30 minute user interviews while you observe.
- We’ll wrap up the visit together by discussing whatever comes up during the day.
After our visit:
- We’ll compile everything we’ve learned about your library and send you a report.
